The House of Expats is the rental agent in The Hague and surrounding areas. This rental service has emerged as a result of the numerous requests we have received from our clients, primarily expats, international companies, and embassies. We also closely collaborate with relocation agencies, real estate agents, and other businesses operating within the Expat and Global Mobility sector.

During a personal intake interview (phone or video call), we explain the entire rental process and establish your search profile based on your requirements and preferences. Afterward, we search, select, and screen the most suitable properties for you. We daily scour the housing market for available listings. Thanks to this screening process, you only visit properties that meet your criteria. Additionally, we have access to the latest property listings that are often not yet on the market.

Our Housing & Orientation Tour is a carefully planned route along the selected homes and short-stay apartments. We kick off the day with coffee at our office or a nearby hotel to get acquainted and discuss the route. Between viewings, we provide information about neighborhoods, shops, restaurants, useful apps, public transportation, and major roads—everything necessary for a "soft landing."

Moreover, we can connect you with partners offering services such as relocation, immigration, opening a bank account, registering with the municipality, gyms, short-stay providers, hotels, international schools, gas/water/electricity providers, as well as television/internet providers.

After the viewings, we evaluate them with you and discuss the terms and negotiation strategy. Once an agreement is reached, we proceed with the paperwork. We review the lease agreement for legal content and conditions. We are present during the key handover to ensure your new home is delivered as agreed upon, conduct a thorough initial inspection, and record meter readings. This is documented in a comprehensive inspection report. This way, you will move into an ideal home under the best conditions.
